Fighting Fan Erosion
The dust-laden environment in the cement plant can present a challenge to the facility’s process fans in terms of wear and tear. As a result, erosion may occur in key plant
components such as kiln induced-draught (ID) fans. At Lafarge Cement in Egypt, a new kiln ID fan was installed when the old fan became worn out due to dust erosion.
